Influencing Decision-Making (UK Parliament Outreach Sessions)

The UK Parliament is offering interactive, tailored outreach sessions for community groups in Scotland. These are aimed at offering practical advice and resources on how to influence decision-making.

They are designed to increase awareness of how Parliament operates (from contacting a local MP or a member of the House of Lords, influencing the legislative process, and participating in democratic engagement), encourage active citizenship, and develop campaigning and lobbying skills.

These sessions are currently delivered online, and are available to be booked throughout the rest of the year. They are entirely free of charge, no prior citizenship knowledge or training is required.

You can find out more about the online sessions which are available here however Aimee Dobie, Senior Education and Engagement Officer for Scotland at the UK Parliament, is keen to develop bespoke sessions to meet the particular needs of an audience.

You can contact her on dobiea@parliament.uk or call 0207 219 5506.
