Volunteer Edinburgh is a partner in Edinburgh’s Third Sector Interface (TSI), a collaboration between us, EVOC, and Edinburgh Social Enterprise. We are the infrastructure agencies in Edinburgh that are dedicated to developing and supporting volunteering and active citizenship, supporting Edinburgh’s vibrant voluntary sector and developing social enterprise. Together, we help ensure that the third sector, social enterprise and volunteering is represented across the local Community Planning structures. We work together across a range of projects.
By working together in collaboration, the three partners of the Third Sector Interface aim to build and enable resilient, sustainable and inclusive communities in Edinburgh. We work with people, the public sector, social enterprises and voluntary organisations to build social capital, and we believe that collaboration leads to a more effective and world-class service.
Who we are
- Edinburgh Social Enterprise supports new and existing social enterprises in Edinburgh.
- EVOC is dedicated to developing and supporting the voluntary sector.
- Volunteer Edinburgh promotes volunteering across the voluntary and public sectors.
TSIs were established by Scottish Government as part of an initiative to realign Scotland’s infrastructure organisations, forming a single identifiable third sector structure within each Scottish local authority. The aim was to create a more coherent, effective integration of Scotland’s third sector within Community Planning Partnerships.
