Are you committed to inclusive volunteering?

The Ian McInnes Award is awarded annually to an organisation that has gone the extra mile to improve equality and accessibility in their volunteering. Previous awardees: Citizens Advice Edinburgh, CAPS and Held in Our Hearts, have demonstrated that people from all walks of life can make a difference to their local community, regardless of the challenges they face in their day-to-day life. Each organisation has been creative, pragmatic and sensible in identifying ways that individuals of all age, ability and background can share their skills and experience to help other people. They have shone a light on good practice that enables volunteering to be truly inclusive and accessible.

Does your organisation follow in the footsteps of Ian McInnes by having a “Can Do” attitude to volunteers? If the answer is yes, why not nominate yourself or your organisation for the award which recognises one of Edinburgh’s great volunteering champions?
