About The Edinburgh Tool Library
The Edinburgh Tool Library was established with three goals: Reduce our members carbon footprint, and promote sharing as an alternative to consumption, Save all our members money, and give low income households access to equipment they otherwise couldn?t afford, Create opportunities for unemployed young people with barriers to employment by pairing them with mentors
Basic woodworking skills and tool knowledge, comfortability with health and safety standards and monitoring said standards, ability to teach basic woodworking skills and to troubleshoot ideas with new learners.
Interested workshop volunteers will be trained and inducted on the workshop machinery by the workshop manager and other trained workshop volunteers. While people may come in with skills and other expertise, we still need to train them in accordance with our policies and procedures.
