Sunflower Garden works with children who are affected by drug and or alcohol use within their family. Being a volunteer with us will enable you to use your skills in a supportive environment. Our Taxi Buddy volunteers escort children to the Sunflower Garden base at our Queen Street counselling service, or to another specified location, and then escort children to a specified location at the end of the group or individual session. Volunteers are required to ensure the child safety to and from their appointment whilst building a positive and encouraging relationship with the young person. Volunteers are also required to ensure that the child is returned to a responsible adult at the end of the day.
