Driver Volunteer – involves collection and the triage of donated bikes, as well as moving bikes between our Bike Station branches and Prisons.

About The Bike Station

The Bike Station is Scotland's largest bike recycling charity. Our mission is to reduce the barriers to cycling. We do this by refurbishing pre-loved bikes, helping people learn to maintain their bikes & teaching people to learn to ride safely.

Training Details

You will be inducted on how to drive the van with our Production Manager or current Volunteer Driver - to make sure you feel comfortable and safe. You will have the opportunity to ask any questions. You will also be shown how to triage the bikes we recycle, with our fantastic mechanics and current volunteers team.

The Bike Station will reimburse travel expenses to volunteers who spend more than two hours a day volunteering. If you cycle here, you can claim 50p per mile. If you come by bus or train, keep your tickets as receipts. The Bike Station will pay up to £4
