Peer Mentor

Our Mentors are matched with a young person age 16-25 who is homeless/at risk of homelessness. We ask each Mentor to commit to meeting up with a young person for 2 hours a week for up to 12months. As a Mentor for the Rock Trust you would work alongside your Mentee supporting and encouraging them to achieve a goal they set themselves, in an enjoyable, social way that boosts their wellbeing. Training, ongoing support & supervision and expenses are provided.

About Rock Trust

Rock Trust is Scotland’s leading youth specific homelessness charity, with services in Edinburgh, the Lothians, Fife and Perth. For the last 30 years, we have championed bespoke housing and support models to help young people aged 16-25 transition away from homelessness and into adulthood. Rock Trust works with over 500 young people between the ages of 16-25 who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless each year. We believe that accommodation, support, education, and employment are the best routes off the streets and away from the misery that accompanies homelessness; leading to a better future for our young people. The variety of services we offer have been developed to address the broad range of needs and experiences of young people, with an emphasis on creating choice. No one version of support is appropriate for every person. We have a vision to to end youth homelessness in Scotland for good. We are on a mission to prevent youth homelessness and to support young people to build better futures.
