Meaningful Activity Volunteer

We are looking for reliable volunteers to spend time with older patients in hospital; patients who don’t get many visitors and who would benefit from 1:1 interaction. You must be a proactive communicator, kind and creative in your approach to dealing with different people. You might chat with a patient, play a game together, or go for a walk. We are currently recruiting for volunteers at The Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, Ferryfield House, Ellen’s Glen House, Findlay House and Liberton Hospital.

You must have a good grasp of spoken and written English. We are looking for people who are creative in trying different approaches to engaging with a patient.
