External Trustee

EC Students’ Association are recruiting for 3 new External Trustees to join our Charity Board. The Board meets on a quarterly basis to review performance, ensure good governance, and that we’re operating within the law. Our Trustees bring their own perspectives and expertise to the table, offering real-world experience to help guide EC Students’ Association and inform decision-making. This is a very exciting time to be joining us, as it follows a refresh of our Constitution.

About Edinburgh College Student Association

To promote the interests and welfare of students during their course of study to advance the education of its members.

Experience Required

The Association is looking for a range of experience in the following fields: Further Education. The Scottish charity sector. Fundraising. Strategic leadership. Financial management. HR management. Previous experience as a Trustee or other non-executive role, ideally in the charity sector.

Training Details

We will ensure all new Trustees are briefed in depth about EC Students' Association, its role in the wider Education Sector and its relationship with Edinburgh College.

Flexibility & Commitment

Term Time

The External Trustees will be required to attend quarterly meetings and additional meetings as required.

Location/Travel Details

Edinburgh College is based across four campuses. A form will be completed with receipts submitted, and expenses will be paid via bank transfer or petty cash.
