Driver (Community)

As a volunteer driver you will play a key role in our services by providing transport for our community members of blind and partially sighted people so that they can safely attend our clubs and events and reduce social isolation for those who need it most.
Our drivers support members to attend hobby groups like art or crafts, or even at one off events like conferences, trips to the theatre, and more.

You will also undertake sighted guiding training from a member of RNIB staff, teaching you how to support a person who is blind to navigate using recommended practices to safely walk from A to B. This session also provides some general sight loss awareness so that you can better understand the challenges faced by our community,
