Digital Marketing and Design Volunteer

Researching relevant material and drafting engaging social media posts which may include liaising with staff members to gather necessary photos and information. Posting social media content using our Loomly platform on a weekly basis, as directed by the Training and Compliance Manager. Engaging with stakeholders on social media platforms to foster interaction and raise awareness of CHAI.
Monitoring and analysing social media metrics to track the effectiveness of content.
Designing visuals.

About Community Help and Advice Initiative (CHAI)

The Community Help & Advice Initiative (CHAI) offers a range of advice services in relation to welfare rights, debt, employability and housing matters. We work holistically to facilitate the needs of our clients with inclusion and equality at the core of our practise. Our aims are to relieve poverty, prevent homelessness, encourage employability and increase our client’s quality of life.

Experience Required

•Enthusiasm for marketing, social media and design. •Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing concepts. •Basic graphic design skills or familiarity with design tools like Canva or Publisher. •Strong writing skills for crafting engaging content. •Good attention to detail.

Training Details

Induction and ongoing training and support on how to use social media platforms although some experience is required.

Flexibility & Commitment

Home-Based Volunteering;Flexible;Ad hoc

3 hours per week for 6 months.

Location/Travel Details

Office based 28 Westfield Avenue, Edinburgh EH11 2QH or from home.


A form is to be completed and receipts need to be provided. Expenses are paid within 5 working days.
