The Sunflower Pantry is part of the Your Local Pantry franchise offering a more sustainable and dignified solution to food insecurity. Local residents in Wester Hailes can sign up to become members, pay a small weekly fee and get a wide range of food items plus sanitary products and pet food. Volunteers will support us by providing great customer service, taking payments and deliveries, restocking shelves and much more! Inspire & influence local people to eat more locally grown food, eat more seasonably & adopt healthier, sustainable diets.
About Wester Hailes Growing Communities
Wester Hailes Growing Communities establishes and embeds community food growing, community food, growing youth projects & placemaking initiatives locally. WHCG has established itself as the key community food growing and placemaking anchor organisation locally.
Experience Required
Good communication skills, high enthusiasm and energy. REHIS Food Hygiene Level 2 (We can provide you with training!). Empathy and understanding of those who may be experience food insecurity/poverty.

The role would based in the Clovenstone Community Centre in Wester Hailes. Clovenstone Community Centre, 54 Clovenstone Park, EH14 3EY. Cycle access via Union Canal tow path Lothian Buses #30 / #33 Car park available
Expenses
All expenses claims must be agreed in advance. Receipts should be submitted with a covering letter or email. Expenses are paid by bank transfer.
