Action Researcher

The Action Researchers are a team of volunteers and a staff member at PCHP. We get together to decide on work to tackle issues identified by the group and develop research to understand the needs and challenges of Black, Asian and other ethnic minority communities. We are focused and committed to anti-racism and building a more inclusive North Edinburgh.

Experience Required

We are looking for volunteers who are: Friendly and approachable. Reliable and able to commit to attending meetings. Good at communicating – speaking another language would be beneficial but not essential. Able to set and maintain personal boundaries. Able to work as part of a team & by themselves.

Training Details

Group training will be provided for the role.

Flexibility & Commitment

Home-Based Volunteering;Flexible

2-3 hours a month.

Location/Travel Details

Monthly online meetings as a whole team with a staff member and online research and information sharing. Meetings with peer research volunteers if required. These can be online or in-person.


Agreed spends are reimbursed monthly. Forms are submitted and payment is made into the volunteers chosen bank account.
