Action Research Volunteer

Group of staff & volunteers who get together to decide on work to tackle issues identified by the group and develop research to understand the needs and challenges of Black, Asian and other ethnic minority communities. We are focused and committed to anti-racism and building a more inclusive North Edinburgh.

About Pilton Community Health Project

To alleviate the high levels of stress experienced by local people. To identify, tackle and improve the life circumstances that underlie poor health. To ensure local equity of access to health related services, resources and information.

Experience Required

Friendly and approachable. Reliable and able to commit to attending meetings. Good at communicating – speaking another language would be beneficial but not essential. Able to set and maintain personal boundaries. Able to work as part of a team and take initiative.

Flexibility & Commitment


This role can be flexible depending on your availability. We currently meet once a month on Friday afternoons as a group. We ask that you are able to commit to volunteering for ideally 3 months to start.

Location/Travel Details

The research group is currently meeting monthly online.
