Ageing Well Volunteers are all aged 50 + and provide encouragement, information and support to help their peers in the local community to achieve a more active and healthy lifestyle.
Home Demonstrator
We are looking for people to demonstrate and install our sets to recipients in Edinburgh. This involves visiting sight impaired people in their homes, installing their new radio and teaching them how to use it.
Fundraising Can Collector
Grow and develop the Crisis collection tin project, taking responsibility for a minimum of 1 tin in your local area. On average static collection tins raise £128 per year.
Fundraising Group Member
Enthusiastic volunteers needed to create Crisis’s first Scottish fundraising group! An opportunity to use your creativity to shape the fundraising activities in the group, raising awareness and vital funds for homeless people. This would be a great role for someone who enjoys planning social events.
Family Befriender
Once approved volunteers can look after a child who has been referred to us and invest time with them by taking them out for a few hours to do fun activities. If they have a spare room they may be able to host them overnight. Others meet up with parents or carers and go to the shops go out for a walk.
Treasurer
The Treasurer shall administer all financial matters of the Society as detailed in the Constitution and Code of Conduct and report to the Executive Committee as required. All funds raised by or on behalf of the Society shall be applied to further the objectives of the Society and for no other purpose.
Donation Centre Logistics Assistant
We are looking for someone to volunteer alongside our driver in deliveries and collection of furniture.

We are looking for someone interested in customer service to help maintain our shop floor and till area.
Peer Support Volunteer - CARDS
Many of our clients who engage with the CARDS Service become curious about or wish to engage in recovery or with dedicated recovery services. In response to feedback from clients and volunteers we now have dedicated Peer Volunteers who themselves are in recovery and have lived experience of that journey.
Community Conversation Volunteer
Peoples Health Trust (PHT) Peoples Health Trust: Community Conversation Project. Duties will involve door knocking within the local community to raise awareness of the project and services provided. Accompany staff to visit residents involved with the Peoples Health Trust Community Conversation.
IT Tutor Various Locations
Volunteer IT tutors are required to help tutor computing to the over 60s at our Craigmillar, Corstorphine, Newhaven, Fountainbridge & Morningside clubs. Volunteers find this a very rewarding opportunity with great feedback from our members.
Womens Group Volunteer
To assist with the preparation and running of our weekly Women's Group, which comprises of between 8-12 women regularly in a self -contained safe space.
Sales Assistant for Oxfam Bookshop

Scout Leader
We are looking for 2-3 motivated volunteers who would enjoy working with young people (10 ½ - 14) to be leaders of our Scout Troop, planning and delivering the Scouting programme over the year.

Cafe Connect Volunteer
We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic volunteers to serve coffee and snacks to members of the public and staff in our busy centre. The funds from the sale of coffee and snacks raised will support the work we do in the local community.
