Volunteering opportunities in the North of the city

What is VINE?

Volunteering in North Edinburgh or VINE is our hub for volunteering in the North of the city. The hub is based at North Edinburgh Arts and we facilitate a number of groups including the Chat Cafe and Knit and Natter. You can read more about VINE on the dedicated North Edinburgh Arts page here or by clicking on the button in the sidebar (or below on mobile devices). We also have a Facebook page here.

Knit and Natter

On Tuesday mornings, Volunteering in North Edinburgh (VINE) support the Knit and Natter group at North Edinburgh Arts.

The group is currently producing items for sale at Scottish Design Exchange, a social enterprise supporting local creative talent who produced this short film. We also have a commission to make baby doll outfits for a local shop and will be creating items to adorn Jupiter Artland, a contemporary sculpture park, in August. Recently, two Venezuelan ladies have joined and are knitting and laughing with us all!

Driving Theory Support

Driving Theory Support sessions are continuing at North Edinburgh Arts with one to one sessions of one or two hours to assist with the learning of Driving Skills, the Highway Code and all aspects relating to driving to help you pass the theory and hazard perception tests.

Contact Heather Yang on 07958 540 438 to arrange a suitable time for a training session. There is a cost of £15.00 for four weeks training with this course.
