Search for Opportunities
Important Service Notice:
Due to technical problems with a third-party service, our search facility may not be displaying all opportunities correctly.
For more information on our full range of opportunities please contact us here or call 0131 225 0630. You can also drop in to our office on 222 Leith Walk without the need for an appointment and browse our full collection of opportunities.
Finding the right volunteering opportunity is easy with our database, just follow these 3 simple steps:
You can choose what kinds of opportunities you are looking for through a keyword or by applying one or more of our search filters:
- Activity: What kind of voluntary tasks you'd like to do
- Issue: The kinds of people or causes you'd be helping
Please enter your post code and a search radius to find opportunities in your area of the city.
Pick out one or more of the opportunities that you're interested in. On each page will be information about the organisation, the opportunity, the skills and experience they're looking for from a volunteer, information on where and when they volunteering will be happening, the training and expenses covered and contact details.
Use the organisation's contact details (in a purple box on the right of each opportunity's page) to get in touch with them directly and let them know you'd like to volunteer with them. Be aware that emails can be incorrectly marked as span or overlooked, so try calling them if you can.
If you've contacted an organisation and had no response within 7 days please let us know and we will follow it up with the organisation.
Remember if you have any questions just get in touch with us and we'll be happy to help.
Can't find what you're looking for on our database?
If you have specific skills to offer and you cannot find what you are looking for on our database, you can advertise direct to hundreds of volunteer-involving agencies through our fortnightly bulletin to organisations across Edinburgh. Advertise yourself to volunteer involving organisations here.
You can also choose to stay on top of newly advertised volunteering opportunities by signing up to our volunteers monthly ebulletin.
