LOOPs (Local Opportunities for Older People) are hosting another free event for over 65s in the centre of Edinburgh.
Gin and Games will take place from 6.00pm until 8.00pm on March 31 in the Virgin Money Lounge in St Andrews Square. We will be playing traditional favourite games like Scrabble, bridge and chess and trying out electronic games on tablet devices.
This event is completely free of charge and the venue has full disabled access.
There can’t be games without gin so naturally we will be enjoying (non-alcoholic) gin-based cocktails too.
Following the success of our last IT support evening, we will also be answering questions about using a tablet device.
For further information, or to book a place please call 0131 603 8311 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also view the event on the LOOPs facebook page here.
The LOOPs (Local Opportunities for Older People) helpline is run by Volunteer Edinburgh and gives information, support and sign posting to anyone in Edinburgh who is aged 65 or over. We can help you find out about what services and support is available to you or to find things to do within your neighbourhood. The helpline is open Monday to Friday 11am to 2pm and as well as individuals 65 or over we can help professionals working with clients in this age group or family and friends supporting people aged 65 and over.
Staffed by friendly, encouraging, highly trained volunteers the helpline provides a highly personalised service. We take time to discuss with you what your situation is, your needs and your aspirations. Using our wealth of experience and knowledge we research what is available and we even make calls on your behalf before providing you with all information that you could need.
As well as calling the helpline on 0131 603 8311 or you can email: email@example.com
