Volunteering helps people gain employment related skills and confidence.  Our new project will support and develop current local services in South Edinburgh, Craigmillar and Westerhailes and deliver a new service in North Edinburgh.

All posts require an understanding of volunteering, the ability to work to demanding targets and a commitment to moving people into employment.

Learning and Practice Officer (35hrs/week)
Fixed contract: One Year.  SJC Pts 27 (£21,861)
Volunteers on management committees are the driving force behind hundreds of different voluntary and community services in the city.  This new post will work in partnership with Edinburgh Voluntary Organisations Council to develop and deliver a programme to support organisations in recruiting new volunteer board members.  You will be an experienced trainer preferably with an understanding of capacity building and governance issues.
