EVOLVE: Continuing Professional Development for Volunteers Managers.

Evolve is our dynamic forum for Volunteer Managers to help with Continuing Professional Development.  Evolve brings together volunteer managers with lots of different experience to learn, share experiences, and network.

Each Evolve has a different thematic focus that concentrates on your professional development.  Evolve is also an opportunity to give and receive peer support.

It is an invaluable tool for everyone with responsibility for recruiting, managing or supporting volunteers (whether paid or as a volunteer, whether in frontline service delivery or serving on a management board or committee) and everyone will be made very welcome.

It's completely free but we do ask people to book so check out details of our next session and please come along.

Next Evolve discussion topic:  Employee Supported Volunteering

On 29 May the focus is on Employer Supported Volunteering (ESV). Many voluntary and community organisations are getting increased  ESV requests from the business, public  and third sectors.  These can be about arranging volunteering for employees or teams of employees, or from individual employees wanting to volunteer through their workplace.

How do we, as managers and supporters of volunteers, help to ensure that everyone benefits from this experience?  Should we be charging businesses, and if so, how much?   What are the top tips on what works?  What about safety issues?  How should you publicise what you offer?

Come and hear about these issues and much more from  the experts - Paul Wilson, Deputy Director of Volunteer Centre Edinburgh and  TBC (Fresh start) together they have over 20  years’ experience of ESF, on both sides of the fence!

29th May from 10am - 12.30pm

Booking in advance is essential - email  stephen.faithfull@volunteeredinburgh.org.uk  to secure your place.
