About Crohn’s and Colitis UK - Edinburgh Local Group
To work with all those affected by Crohn’s and Colitis to achieve a better quality of life, to improve support and services and ultimately find a cure.
This year over 6000 people will take part in eight 5km & 10km walks across the UK in support of Crohn’s and Colitis UK. Come and make the difference to these events by joining with us on the day as a volunteer in Edinburgh – you’ll be a key part of the event success, helping us change the lives of thousands of people affected by Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. Welcome walkers on arrival and signpost them to registration Hand out medals and cheering on walkers as they enter the finishing area Support walkers along the walk by marshalling key checkpoints on the route Help out at the charity village with equipment, information Engage with members of the public, if and when they ask questions about the event.
Skills & Experience
Give six hours of your time (approximately 9am-3pm) Be enthusiastic, friendly, creative, flexible, fun and willing to get stuck in! Skills required: Communication, Interpersonal, Listening, Teamwork
