Volunteer Organisers' Email Bulletin
The Volunteer Organisers' Email Bulletin is sent fortnightly to over 600 volunteer-involving organisations in Edinburgh and beyond. We see it as a tool for building a useful network of peers in the city, sharing knowledge and resources wherever possible.
Content
The bulletin includes items of general interest for volunteer organisers such as information on involving volunteers, training events, conferences, funding, legislation etc. It even includes notices from private sector companies offering teams of volunteers, or giveaways of office equipment.
It also features notices posted by volunteers offering their services, and job ads for work in the voluntary and public sector.
Mail from the Crypt
The bulletin achieved notoriety for the introductions penned by VCE's former Communication Officer Mark Steven, and received praise by Alexander McCall Smith as being "highly entertaining". The collected introductions from a period of nearly three years are available in a small book, 'Mail from the Crypt'.
Getting it
To receive the Volunteer Organisers' bulletin you must be registered as a volunteer-involving organisation with Volunteer Centre Edinburgh. If you're not a volunteer-involving organisation, but would still like to receive the bulletin, you can request it from Lara Celini: lara.celini@volunteeredinburgh.org.uk

Volunteering Bulletin
With a sign-up rate of nearly 100 a month, this bulletin aimed at the general public interested in volunteering and their local community is set to become one of the most trusted and popular emails targeted at the Edinburgh community. The Volunteering Bulletin is sent monthly.
The bulletin features topical articles on volunteering prepared by the Volunteer Centre bulletin volunteers, all the latest opportunities registered at the Volunteer Centre, job ads for work in the voluntary sector and news and events relevant to volunteering in and around Edinburgh.
