This information helps us understand customer usage of our site and helps us improve our website. When you visit our site a short text file called a cookie is downloaded to your computer. A cookie is used to store small amounts of information. This information is collected for traffic analysis only. The cookie does not contain personal details.

We use a third party service called Mailchimp to send our e-bulletins and manage our subscriber lists. They are one of the biggest emailing services in the world and have extremely stong security policies so we have done the best we possibly can to secure your data.
Any information you give to us for our e-bulleitins will only ever be used for the purposes of contacting you with information from Volunteer Centre Edinburgh. We use a double opt-in system so that after signing up you must click a "subscription confirmation" link in an email. Every e-bulletin has a link in it for you to unsubscribe/manage your subscriptions.
The only mandatory piece of information we require is your email address, you do not have to provide your name or any other details.
We will never pass your information on to any third parties.
Registering for an Event/Training Course
Any information you provide us when booking an event or training course will only ever be used for the administration of the event/course and the information will be stored securely on our internal IT systems. We may contact you with details about the event but nothing else. We will not add your contact details to our e-bulletin subscribers lists. Data Protection Act
Volunteer Centre Edinburgh is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office and comply with the requirements of the Data Protection Act. This involves keeping your personal information securely and allowing you access to what we hold on you on request.
